EA's developer DICE may have thought that the controversy with players surrounding the closed weapon mode of "Battlefield 6" has come to an end, but players obviously have not given up.As early as the summer testing phase of this military shooting game, similar voices appeared many times, and now some players have firmly emphasized that they do not like the open weapon mode, and the closed weapon mode is almost completely hidden, making it difficult to experience.
EA, however, holds the key basis of "data" and gives a completely different statement: the data shows that this is not the case.In a community update released before the official release of "Battlefield 6" on October 10, the official mentioned that "the vast majority of players chose to stay in the open weapon mode after trying the two mode lists" - this mode allows players to ignore troop restrictions and freely use any weapon.
"This further confirms our judgment: open weapon mode is the right direction for the future of "Battlefield 6." Although there are still a large number of players dissatisfied that "closed weapon mode has been completely hidden," DICE chief producer David Serander still insisted on this view in a series of new Twitter posts.
In response to EA's statement that "open weapon mode is the right direction," YouTuber DANNYonPC retorted on Twitter: "If the list of closed weapon modes is hidden, and there is only one closed mode list on the entire platform, but there are 3 to 4 open mode lists, then of course the data will be like this."
Then Serland clarified: "Of course, we will take the impact of plate position into data standardization considerations, which is a basic operation in any data comparison. As you may have noticed, we monitored the impact of the plate position of all models during the test."
He said that the development team will "frequently adjust the position of each mode tile" in order to observe "how much the tile position affects the selection rate, and what are the differences between a single mode and a list containing multiple modes".The final conclusion remains: the open weapons mode will be retained.
