Former TT Games executive sets up new studio to develop new work "Peter Pan"

Tom Stone – who served as general manager of TT Games, which created the LEGO Star Wars, Batman and Harry Potter series – has set up a new British game studio with plans to develop a game based on Peter Pan.

The Manchester-based studio, called Second Star Games, is composed of industry veterans (including developers from the LEGO series) and is working with the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.

As you might guess from the studio name, the team is working on a fantasy adventure game called Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure, details are expected to be announced soon.

The connection between the Neverland game and the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity is that the hospital charity owns the copyright of Peter Pan, which was donated by writer J.M. Barry in 1929.

Therefore, royalties generated from all sales revenue of the game will be donated to the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity, and the funds raised will be used to help children suffering from severe illnesses across the UK to receive treatment.

Although the specific details of the game have not been released yet, some concept maps have been shared.

“We are excited to join hands with our professional partner Second Star Games to create a lively magical world of Neverland for a new generation of young players,” said Jenny Martin, senior brand license manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.

"Neverland is a place full of adventure and imagination, providing an excellent background for this game that we firmly believe will be the top production. What's more, every game sold will help raise funds to support seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. We can't wait to start the next chapter of our journey to Neverland."

"Cheley" Graham Chilton will serve as the main investor in Second Star Games.Previously, he had invested in the first LEGO Star Wars game and served on the Funds and Ways Committee of the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.
