Can a video game make you cry? This can be a stupid question for those who have experienced the top productions of the genre. So, perhaps a better question is: Which games make you cry the most? This is the question recently asked Japanese role-playing game players (JRPG) and the responses are varied, both with expected classics and some consensus surprises.
According to a survey conducted by "Famico Gamer", "Final Fantasy 10" is the RPG that makes players cry the most. The survey received more than 4,700 responses, of which 498 votes put the 2001 PS2 classic to the top.
Given the series’ popularity, it shouldn’t be too surprising that so many Final Fantasy works appear on the list.Among them, the legendary work of "Final Fantasy 7" "Crisis Core" ranked second, defeating "Persona 3" which was only narrowly superior.
Perhaps the most surprising part of this list is that not all the shortlisted RPGs are produced in Japan: Under the Legend ranks 13th, and Omori ranks 18th.These two independent games are very popular among their respective players and draw heavily on the inspiration of classic Japanese RPGs.But it is always good to see their charm and be recognized by players around the world, and it is worth noting that these are the only two works on the list that are not from Japanese studios.
