Steam Promotional Video Player Update Details:

A new user interface
The promotional video player interface is renewed, it is more convenient to use and responds to input faster.
Adaptable UI
The UI of the promotional video player will now be intelligently adapted to meet the various usage scenarios of players: desktop computers, mobile devices (even now perform well on iPhones), and Steam Deck or Steam big screen modes.
Show preview pictures when positioning
Now, when you hover over the player progress bar or swipe it with your finger, you will see a preview picture of the position you are about to jump to.
Positioning, finger swiping and full screen transition are all faster
Due to changes in underlying video technology, you should now feel pauses and stutters when you fast forward and backward than before. When you press the full screen button, you will also see a seamless switch effect.
Smarter network bandwidth usage
As we reprocess each video in order to match the new promotional video player, we also generated up to 4 video sizes (360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p), which dynamically switches between these 4 sizes based on your network status and the size of the playback window.
Aspect ratio processing is optimized
The new promotional video player now handles various video aspect ratios and can scale, center or add black edges if necessary.
