Square Enix (SE) announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be available on the Switch and Switch 2 platforms in October this year.An important policy is identified in the latest official FAQ.

There are currently no cross-platform upgrade plans and no plans are planned to be launched in the future.If players want to experience the game on a specific platform, they need to directly purchase the corresponding platform version.

Officially stated that the two versions differ in image specifications only due to host performance reasons, and the others will be exactly the same.And if you play the Switch version of the game on Switch2, the image specifications will be the same as those on the Switch version.

And the official also mentioned that the two versions are independent game software, so the data is not interoperable.However, the book-shaped storage box included in the collector's version is a physical box that can store two versions of the game.

"Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake" will be available on PS5, Xbox series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 30.
