According to the LinkedIn resume of Iain MacIntyre, a senior business development manager who just left Microsoft, the transaction amount of Xbox subscription service Game Pass ranges from $50,000 to over $50 million.
This also indirectly proves that Game Pass is a one-time fixed-value transaction on third-party games. Previous FTC leaked documents also mentioned this, rather than providing bonuses/royalty dynamically based on record/number of gamers.
In addition, Iain MacIntyre's resume also mentioned that Game Pass has more than 30 million users, which means that Game Pass does not have more than 40 million users, or even 35 million users.
3A masterpieces on Game Pass mean Xbox pays more than 700,000-800,000 games for this
Part of the Iain MacIntyre LinkedIn resume:
“More than 500 deals were negotiated, with a total amount ranging from $50,000 to over $50 million, bringing indie popular games and AAA games to Game Pass.
Personally select and successfully sign popular games such as Vampire Survivor to ensure Game Pass provides cutting-edge and highly engaged content.
As a core member of the Xbox third-party, Game Pass and content strategy team, I focus on global business expansion and contract negotiations with third-party developers and publishers.
It has promoted the growth of Game Pass from its inception to its current 30 million subscription users, making it the world's leading game subscription service.”
