Cineverse, a filmmaker who has obtained the release rights for the third film of Silent Hill in the United States, said that the Return to Silent Hill movie will be a "faithful adaptation" of the original Silent Hill 2 game, and the film will be released later this year.
Brandon Hill, executive director of Cineverse, told Variety: “Silent Hill is one of the best video game series, and Christopher Gans (Silent Hill 1 film director) once again captured the atmosphere of the game in Return to Silent Hill.”

The adaptation of "Return to Silent Hill" stems from a deep respect for the true masterpiece of Korami's iconic game "Silent Hill 2".
