Stunning
"Doom: Dark Ages" may have abandoned the high-mobility gameplay emphasized in "Doom: Eternal" but replaced it with a heavier and more oppressive fighting style.Although this style is completely different from previous works in the series, it is also exciting and refreshing.
Review conclusion
This new work is definitely not just "more Doom", but a bold evolution - it brings a brand new "doom style": more calm and more grounded, but not less than the dynamic and shock that the series should have. The newly added shield design is a masterpiece. It not only provides a rich offensive and defensive means, but also allows players to kill demons in various ways and can't stop.Coupled with the heavy metal soundtrack that burns as always, and the still excellent weapons, levels and enemy designs, id Software once again proves that they are like a super shotgun at close range - never failing.
