Accused of forced online collection of data from stand-alone games Ubisoft responded: It is under investigation

A spokesperson for Ubisoft responded to the matter to foreign media Eurogamer, saying: "We have noticed this complaint and are investigating it. Ubisoft is committed to protecting players' personal data on its websites and games."

The spokesperson also said that for games that support offline mode, the Internet is only required to be connected to the Internet when it is first launched - to verify purchase information and associate the game with the player's account.Players can manage their personal data through Ubisoft's Privacy Center.Ubisoft will continue to ensure transparency and provide the player community with concise and easy-to-use privacy management tools.
