Tom Henderson, a well-known uncle in the gaming industry, exclusively revealed the future release plan of the Assassin's Creed game series.
Original report:
Following the delayed release of Assassin's Creed: Shadow and the establishment of a new subsidiary of Ubisoft and Tencent, the Assassin's Creed series has recently experienced a not-so-smooth period. The release schedule has been changed and the project has been cancelled. Even now, the new subsidiary established by Ubisoft and Tencent and the final direction of the roadmap are still confusing.
Still, I want to update the Assassin's Creed roadmap I know and how it will develop in the future if everything goes as planned.
At present, Ubisoft has formulated a strategy for Assassin's Creed for the next six years. It is expected that the series will launch at least 10 Assassin's Creed games: 2 RPGs, 3 remakes, 2 "small experience" games, 2 multiplayer games and 1 mobile game.
This is already a lot.But Ubisoft’s strategy for Assassin’s Creed is to take advantage of its brand as much as possible while providing players with as many new experiences as possible.Ubisoft's strategy is to release a traditional "mainline" RPG game every 2-3 years, and launch some small games and remakes in between.
But Ubisoft’s strategy on Assassin’s Creed is to take advantage of its brand as much as possible while providing players with as many new experiences as possible.Strategically, the current plan is to release a traditional "mainline" RPG game every 2-3 years, and launch some small games and remakes in between.
The plan is as follows:
Jade (mobile game) - "Jade" is an Assassin's Creed game with China as its background, and is expected to be the next "Assassin's Creed" work to be released.
Invictus (Multiple Player 1) - The game codenamed "Invictus" is an Assassin's Creed multiplayer game inspired by Bean Man, and players will participate in 16 players. If Invictus meets internal expectations, it is planned to provide it with about 5 years of support and updates.
Obsidian (remake 1) - Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Remake - Rebuilt with the new Anvil engine. The remake of "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag" is expected to be released approximately at the same time as "Invictus".
Hexe (Mini Game) - Originally codenamed Neo, Assassin's Creed Hexe, is scheduled to be released after the end of the support for Assassin's Creed Shadow.Assassin's Creed: Shadow is expected to have about 2 years of DLC support, while Hexe will have 1 year of DLC support.
Scarlet (large RPG) - "Scarlet" is the next large-scale RPG game after "Shadow", and will be released at the end of "Hexe" support (1 year later). There is no way to confirm more details yet, but the project has been approved and entered production.I guess this might be Assassin's Creed: Nebula, which will take place in three different settings: India, the Mediterranean and the Aztec Empire.
Stardust (remake 2) - "Stardust" is the second remake developed by Ubisoft and will enter the production stage after the remake of "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag".It is not clear which game is remake.
Emerald (Multiple Player 2) - "Emerald" will be launched shortly after Stardust release (within a few months) and is a multiplayer game with at least 5 years of support plans if it meets internal expectations after release. This could be a PvE game codenamed "Raid", or another multiplayer game codenamed "Echoes".At least one game seems to have been cancelled at this time.
RPG 3 (large RPG) - There is currently no specified code, development team or theme, but it is planned to be released after the end of the two-year support period of Scarlet.
Remake 3 - There is currently no designated code, development team or specific game, but it will be a remake and is expected to be released about 1 year after the RPG 3 is released.
It can be assumed that if Ubisoft finds that the coordinated release strategy of the remake and multiplayer game has been successful, another multiplayer game may be launched, but this plan has not yet been determined, because by then we have entered 2030-2031.
