A "Spinning Tire"-style game with the "Elysium Disco" style is perhaps not the most obvious video game mix that one can imagine, but the upcoming "Narration Simulator" game "Zarya" seems to be the combination. The game tells the story of a man named Vasily who worked hard to make a living in a remote post-Soviet remote area and occasionally helped his friends.
"Morning Light" has been on the Steam platform for more than a year and has recently released a new real-time trailer.
Actual trailer:
This video doesn't explain the game well, but the atmosphere it creates is perfect: Driving rough Soviet-era vehicles on roads that mostly exist in distant memories or good wishes is clearly the core of the game experience. However, Vasily also goes barbecue, fish, shop, and walks in the sunset - in general, this person's life seems to be pretty good.
The Steam page gives a roughly the same impression: while your daily delivery job can make you a "off-road legend", the story behind it sounds more interesting to me.
"Learn the stories of those who are far from civilized life. Help the villagers complete their challenging tasks. Grill kebabs in the garage with their partners, go fishing with Petrovich, transport the harvested produce to the market, help trailers, and try not to fall into the pit, because the last time the tractor appeared in this village was 30 years ago. Enjoy a lot of real post-Soviet ‘classic elements’, from old-fashioned cars to familiar childhood scenery to the simple pleasures of life."
