Just hours after Quantic Dream president David Cage announced that he was developing the company's first-ever multiplayer game, QD announced the multiplayer title Spellcasters Chronicles.This is a team 3v3 strategy and action game with a fantasy setting and free mode.
Players will control Spellcasters, who are "archetype-driven mages" with unique identities, roles and signature skills, including summoning creatures and casting spells.Players can fly around the arena and control the battlefield.
Game description: "Each game is a fast-paced 25-minute 3v3 duel, taking place in a mysterious arena with a large scale and vertical terrain. Both sides must capture the altar to occupy the territory and destroy the opponent's life stone to win."
The game has a card construction system, and players can choose one of more than 50 spells and summons to apply to their characters.They must also choose one of the game's Titans, which are massive and powerful creatures that can greatly impact combat.
Quantic Dream is best known for its single-player narrative adventure games such as Heavy Rain, Beyond Two, and Detroit: Become Human, so a competitive multiplayer game is significantly different from the studio's regular offerings.
