Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment released an update for its 2019 game Control on Monday. The company had previously launched a similar update patch for the PC earlier this year, and this time it has brought new features to the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions.
This update finally adds full HDR support to the game - which means games will take full advantage of modern monitor performance and present far better color performance than ever before.
120Hz refresh rate support is also an important highlight, which means that the frame rate of "Control" will be able to reach a higher level (in theory, the frame rate depends on the content of the scene displayed on the screen). At this point, "Control" has also joined the list of games that "the Xbox Series X|S platform can technically run at 120 frames."
Last but not least: three outfits and an additional side quest are now available to all players.Among them, these three sets of costumes were previously exclusive rewards for pre-orders; and this side mission (starred by Hideo Kojima from Kojima Production Studio) was previously only available to users of the PlayStation 4 Deluxe Edition of "Control".
The following is the complete update description announced by Remedy Entertainment:
