Sony is rumored to be developing new PS5 Pro and improved DualSense handle

According to Polish media PPE.pl, Sony is developing an improved PS5 Pro console and an improved DualSense controller.

The website quoted source Graczdari as saying that the new DualSense handle, called the DualSense V3 internally, is scheduled to be launched in November, and will be equipped with a removable battery and replace the DualSense handle currently on sale by retailers.Graczdari recently accurately revealed the news that Microsoft Flight Simulation 2024 will be available on PS5 and the physical version of "The Elder Scrolls 4: Annihilation Remake".

Although details have not been fully revealed, the wording seems to indicate that the new handle does not support AA batteries, but is still a rechargeable battery similar to the current DualSense, but players can replace the new battery (or a larger capacity battery) when needed.

As for the improved PS5 Pro, news says this is just a small improvement: power consumption is about 3% lower than the existing model, and a new DualSense handle will be included at random.

Sony usually launches revamped models during each generation of console lifecycle—such as the PS Slim and PS5 Pro—but sometimes it also low-keys releases minor revamps with few official announcements. The most recent example is the new PS5 digital version, with storage space adjusted from 1TB to 825GB.

A comparison video also shows that the appearance of the new PS5 digital version is also different: the whole machine adopts a fully matte texture, while the old models have a glossy design in the upper half of the white shell and the central black area.

Meanwhile, UK retailers are significantly clearing the 1TB version of the PS5 Slim digital version to make way for the arrival of the new 825GB model, and many merchants are currently reducing the model by £100.
