Riot Games recently confirmed that its upcoming free fighting game "2XKO" will be launched for PC players on October 8.Executive producer Tom Cannon announced the news in the latest developer update, marking the official transition from a closed beta phase to a new phase.
Tom explained that closed testing helped Riot Games optimize global server architecture, matching mechanism and stability issues. As these systems stabilize, the studio is ready to launch its first full-featured version.Early access will introduce new features such as combo trials, season progress system, and content frameworks that will continue to the official version.Tom particularly emphasized that the props and progress obtained after October 8 will be permanently retained and content will no longer be reset.
"2XKO" will adopt a season-based update mode, launching five seasons each year, each season accompanied by new heroes and additional game content. The first season, which will be launched on October 8, will increase the number of participating roles to ten.Players can expect seasonal appearance decoration, combat pass rewards, and continuous balance adjustments.
Community operation has always been the focus of Riot Games.Development team member Shaun Rivera praised the scale of the events spontaneously held by players during the closed test period and launched the "Strike Plan" - Riot will sponsor 22 community events in 2025, inspiring competitive enthusiasm through prize pool bonuses and exclusive double-person rewards.
The game combines the characters and fighting gameplay of "League of Legends" and is scheduled to be officially released on PS5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms in 2025.Currently, PC players will be the first to experience the early access version on October 8.
