The following are some media reviews

I never expected that one of my favorite games in 2025 was a work about a soft little fat man wearing a dirty onesie and a clumsy social connection - he would fall to the ground when he encountered uneven ground. But that's the truth."Step One Step" is a physics game full of weird charm. It not only makes me roar at the sky during difficult mountaineering obstacles, but also allows me to gain emotional belonging like my family in the unexpected plot and characters.Although the core gameplay is based on a deliberately clumsy sense of operation, there is an amazing depth hidden in it, which makes me unable to help but want to master it, and I am completely addicted to it when challenging the most difficult levels. If you like to laugh happily, pursue extreme difficulties, or simply want to "torture" yourself, then I highly recommend "Step One Step".
Loot Level Chill 90 points:
"Step One" is both hilarious and bittersweet, surreal and infuriating, but it is this complex and intertwined emotion that makes you unable to help but want to embark on this journey with Knight.
TheGamer 90 points:
Everything that Step One is done is nearly perfect, and I can't think of any other game that can compare to it.

And I really fell in love with "Step One Step".There is almost no better way for the game to achieve its goals – Step by Step is close to perfection in what it wants to be.As for whether it suits you, it depends on whether you think "extreme self-satisfaction" is worthy of "a storm of intense frustration and uncomfortable anger."For those who are determined (or stubborn, disgusted, or have a bit masochistic tendency), there is no better test than Step by Step. But if you are as fragile as a wet wipe, or as easy as a tired toddler to collapse due to setbacks, then take a detour as soon as possible.
