After the recent appearance of Nintendo Direct Meeting, Glory Tecmo confirmed through "Fami Pass" that the Switch2 version of "The True Kingdoms: Origin" will run at 30 frames instead of pursuing a 60 frame rate by reducing the number of people on the same screen.

The development team hopes to retain the core experience of "One Riding to Thousands", so they decided to give priority to ensuring frame rate stability on the Switch2 platform rather than blindly pursuing high frame rates.The following is the complete statement of producer Zhuang Zhiyan’s interview on “Famitong”:

"The Switch2 version will be fixed at 30 frames, and we give priority to ensuring the game is running smoothly. This is an excellent hardware, and if we cut the number of soldiers to the level of the previous "Warsher" series, we can achieve 60 frames. But this game will show thousands of characters on the same screen, so we think that letting players play at a stable 30 frames is a better choice."

"The True Kingdoms: Origin" has been launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam platforms this year.The Switch2 version will be released on January 22, 2026, and a large DLC will be launched on the same day, including the Yellow Turban Rebellion, the Battle of Red Cliff and other contents.
