Previously, Heihu Studio announced the actual demonstration of the anti-Japanese game "Mountains and Rivers" which caused heated discussion. This game is built using Unreal 5 engine. Some players think that the scene design is good, but the movements are stiff and still need to be polished.Recently, the official released a development log showing melee combat and physical rope climbing.
Development Log:
The official said that the motion matching and combat movement used in the actual machine demonstration of "Mountains and Rivers" are professional. The motion capture actors are actually switched to two sets of locomotion (motion systems) during the demonstration, one of which is motion matching. As for physical rope climbing, it is said that the world's top team worked in a group for 3 months, and they devoted one person to experiment for 1 month. The animation and assets are both ready-made temporary versions. I hope to find the best results when I meet experts familiar with UE physics.
