According to foreign media Digital Foundry, Capcom's two games - Resident Evil 9: Requiem and "Virtual Reality" run at a stable 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro and supports full ray tracing.
Both games are developed with the Capcom RE engine, which has been the engine of Capcom's most popular games since its release in 2017.
The PS5 Pro can achieve complete ray tracing + stable 60FPS operation, which is really impressive. At present, Capcom has not disclosed the PC configuration of Resident Evil 9.
However, Nvidia previously confirmed that games such as "Resident Evil 9" and "Virtual Reality" support DLSS 4 and ray tracing technology, which will be N-card optimization.
Resident Evil 9 will support full ray tracing (path tracking (and DLSS 4) to enhance the realism of the game and improve performance.
"In survival horror games, the expression of light and shadow is crucial, whether it is the flashing corridor lights, the faintly glowing red lights in the dark, or the lighter illuminating the road ahead. With path tracking technology, Resident Evil 9 can now render multiple shadows from different light sources, as well as complex lighting effects such as glass reflection and refraction, which will make the lighting more natural and enhance the immersion during the game."
