"Famitong" recently released the estimated sales data of physical game software in the Japanese market in the two weeks from August 4 to August 17, 2025.
In terms of software games, Mario Kart: World won the top sales list for the eleventh week in a row, and dominated the top two with "Dong Qigang: Bananali", the comic-adapted fighting game "Demon Slayer: Blade of Fire and Blood Wind 2" ranked third, and this week's new work "Cruise Cruise: Origin Collection" ranked only sixth.
In terms of hardware, 179,641 units were sold in the Switch 2, 37,346 units were sold in the Switch series, 17,131 units were sold in the PlayStation 5 series, 652 units were sold in the Xbox Series series, and 32 units were sold in the PlayStation 4 series.
