The Cologne Games Show presents its own grand prizes every year, which are voted by members of the independent jury.Under the awards, these awards are intended to “recognize outstanding games, expansion packs, exhibitors, booths, peripherals, and announcements and trailers.”
At the Cologne Game Exhibition in 2025, Capcom and its game "Resident Evil 9: Requiem" became the biggest winner, which won four awards at this Cologne Game Exhibition, namely Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Effects, Most Epic and Best Sony PlayStation Game.
Other games that won multiple awards are Hela, the independent game that won the "most entertaining" and "healthiest" and "Era 117: Peace in Rome, which won the "Best PC Game" and "Best Booth".
"The Hollow Knight: The Song of Silk" won the "Best Trailer" award, and the award is one of the few awards produced not by the jury but by the public vote.
The domestic game "Shadow Blade Zero" has only received the "Best Sound Effect" nomination.
