The third-person shooter Gears of War: Incident Day, jointly developed by Xbox Game Studios and The Coalition, is still released as scheduled in 2026.

In the recently updated official Twitter/X account introduction of Gears of War, it was confirmed that the release window for Gears of War: Incident Day is 2026.

While the development plans for large 3A games may change at times, it can be seen from the official profile that developer The Coalition is confident that the game will be launched in 2026 as planned.The official brief reads: "Gears of War: Reloading will be released on August 26, and Gears of War: Incident Day will be released in 2026."

Previously, Microsoft Games CEO Phil Spencer also mentioned this target release window at the Xbox game launch conference on June 8, 2023.In addition, Coalition Studio level designer Mishir Modak listed on his personal website the target platforms of "Gears of War: Incident Day" as "PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S".
