Pokémon Company and Nintendo have confirmed that the trial version of "Pokémon Legend Z-A" will be unveiled at the Pokémon World Championships held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, USA from August 15 to 17, 2025.The trial qualification is subject to an appointment system, and participants must apply for the "Warp Pipe Pass" through their Nintendo account from August 11 to 14.
According to the internal emails received by the contestants, this trial will include three core experiences:
1. Revolutionary real-time combat system
Players will challenge multiple trainers in the "Night Battle Arena" that appeared in the trailer. This is the first time the series adopts a real-time combat mode.
2. Miarei City hunts Z God
The trial player can control the character to track the legendary Pokémon Zygarde on the brightly lit streets, recreating the classic scenes in the trailer.
3. Two-line BOSS battle
In a team with Lucario, Mega Absolu, who had a rampage, is suspected to show the new coordinated combat mechanism added in this game.
In addition to the World Championships, the trial version will also be available at the Cologne Game Exhibition in Germany from August 20th to 24th.Nintendo Experience has opened the pass reservation channel on Nintendo’s official website, which is on a first come first served basis.The trial time limit has not been announced yet, but according to previous events, the experience time may be between 15-20 minutes.
The official version of "Pokemon Legend Z-A" will be released on October 16, and will be available on Switch and Switch 2.
