The mobile developer, which has developed the popular mobile game "Pokemon Exchange Card Pocket", recently announced major changes in the internal project proposal process.According to ITMedia, all written project proposals for specific departments of DeNA must be accompanied by AI-generated prototypes.DeNA believes that this approach can "improve project approval efficiency."
This change is implemented simultaneously with the AI business innovation headquarters established by DeNA in April this year.Currently, the new regulations are only implemented in the subordinate departments of the headquarters, but the affected people are not limited to AI engineers—all employees, including creative positions such as business specialists and designers, must comply.
"It is much faster to directly implement project prototypes than to write proposal documents. It is easier to make correct judgments when decision makers can actually see the prototype. In addition, by making prototypes, creators can have a deeper understanding of how generative AI works, and project quality will also improve accordingly." DeNA official explained.
Seiichiro Suzuki, director of AI Business Innovation, said that most of the approved projects in the industry come from people who are so enthusiastic that they are willing to make product prototypes themselves - suggesting that the change will inspire employees to actively create prototypes, thereby promoting more projects.According to Sukichi, the department has launched a mobile application development project and has completed the prototype of about 15 different projects.
It is worth mentioning that DeNA announced on July 2 that its subsidiary DeNA AI Link has reached a cooperation with Cognition AI company to support the development of Devin, an AI software engineer tool, in Japan. In fact, DeNA has used Devin since February this year to reduce the workload of software engineers and improve personal productivity.
