Techland Studio, which once developed the highly acclaimed "The Deserted Light" series, has canceled two projects after suffering a loss of 130 million Polish zloty (about 258 million yuan).

Polish business media Puls Biznesu said the loss was attributed to "decision to stop the follow-up development of the two projects", but it is not clear what the specific content of the games are.

This year coincides with the tenth anniversary of the release of The Deserted Light, Techland has released a new update that optimizes the original game visually and audio, but this is not a complete remake.Meanwhile, The Departed Light 2 is still gaining support, with numerous updates and extra content being released.

Looking to the future, Techland plans to launch "The Deserted Light: The Hidden Beast" in August 2025, and says it is essentially regarded as "The Deserted Light 3".
