掌机、主机、云全打通!AMD将为微软打造完整游戏芯片

"AMD and Microsoft are advancing a bold shared vision of seamless play across any screen, making players the center of play everywhere. We are excited to deepen our collaboration with Microsoft and continue to stealth on more than 20 years of collaboration, innovation and trust, from the early Xbox 360 to the most advanced consoles such as the Xbox Series X|S, and the recent announcement of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld.

Looking ahead, AMD will no longer just create customized chips for Xbox consoles, but will also design a complete set of chip roadmaps that are optimized for gaming. We will integrate the powerful performance of Ryzen and Radeon to make a comprehensive layout for hosts, handheld consoles, PCs and cloud platforms. Moreover, we will remain backward compatible throughout the process, allowing players to play their favorite games across platforms and fulfill their commitments to players and developers.

We are building a vibrant and open ecosystem with Microsoft to drive the next generation of graphics technology and immersive gaming experiences, powered by AI, including a new generation of basic models to accelerate the development of rendering technology. From consoles to clouds to handheld consoles, AMD and Microsoft are working together to create the future of immersive gaming. We are very much looking forward to working with Microsoft to bring these technologies to players around the world.”

From Su Zifeng's words, it can be seen that the cooperation between AMD and Microsoft has been upgraded and is no longer limited to the traditional "customized chips for hosts", but is a blueprint for jointly planning the future development of gaming hardware. She repeatedly emphasized "seasonable cross-screen experience" and "full coverage of hosts, handheld consoles, PCs and clouds", indicating that AMD and Microsoft will work together to create a future-oriented unified gaming ecosystem covering all device platforms. The goal is to allow players to have a unified and high-quality experience no matter what device they use or where they play.

According to recent rumors, the first products born under this in-depth cooperation will be Asus's ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld consoles, which are expected to be launched at the end of October.

The next generation of Xbox consoles is expected to be released after 2027.Interestingly, Microsoft President Sarah Bond and AMD's Su Zifeng both emphasized that the new chip will also provide support for Xbox cloud gaming services - currently Xbox cloud services are far inferior to competitors in hardware, such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW equipped with stronger hardware. This change is expected to make the Game Pass streaming experience more attractive to subscribers.
