Capcom plans to build a new base next to its existing headquarters in Osaka, Japan to further enhance its game development capabilities.

During this week's financial conference call, Capcom said the new building is scheduled to be completed in 2027, and Capcom also plans to acquire land nearby for construction of a future development base, GameBiz.jp reported.
Capcom said it already has several office buildings in Osaka, where its headquarters is located, but the completion of the new building will allow it to add 100 new employees each year.
During the same call, Capcom reiterated its commitment to its internal RE engine, which supports all its recent games, from Resident Evil to Monster Hunter.Capcom said it will continue to support and update the RE engine with new technologies.
Capcom announced in its latest financial report earlier this month that it sets another record in its fiscal year. The company said its core video game business sold 51.87 million games last year, an increase of more than 5 million over the previous year.
This is largely due to Monster Hunter: The Wilderness – sales of more than 10 million in the first month – and “selling strongly in the series of games led by Monster Hunter”.
At the end of last year, Capcom announced that it was developing a new work in the "Ghost Warrior" series, which is the first new work in 20 years.
