Although "Jedi 2" is released by Sony, Arrowhead is actually an independent studio.Given the success of the previous work, the outside world speculated that the two sides would continue to cooperate, but Bloomberg reported that Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani revealed on Discord: "It is the support of all players that allows us to invest in new works (codenamed Game 6) and gain 100% of the creative decision-making power."

When asked if there is a conflict with Sony, Shams flatly denied: "The PlayStation team is very professional, without them there would be no "Jedi". We are still willing to work together in the future - they are quality partners who truly understand the game, and this is not a polite statement."

It is interesting to note that after the phenomenon of "Jedi 2", Sony did not acquire Arrowhead.Perhaps this reflects the studio's determination to be independent—as Shams said: "We are now free to explore the creativity that was once shelved."
