According to Forbes (Japan), DFC Intelligence, the industry's oldest research and consulting company focused on the video game industry, released its latest forecast for Nintendo's new console on May 15 local time. Compared with the previous forecast, sales can reach 16 million in 2025 alone.

Considering that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be officially released on June 5, in fact, if the market changes are as DFC expected, and if Nintendo's stocking ability is not considered, Nintendo's sales volume will be 16 million in just half a year, which is the fastest and best-selling new console in the industry.

·The report also pointed out that Nintendo's estimates are too "conservative". Nintendo sets a goal for itself to be 15 million units by the end of March 2026. Since there is this expectation, it can be roughly estimated that Nintendo's stocking capacity is also quite considerable.

·Compared with past experience, Nintendo's first-generation Switch was first released, with an estimated sales of 10 million units in the first year, and its actual results reached 15 million units. It can be seen that Nintendo is still a little confident in the estimated sales of Switch 2.
