At tonight's face-to-face meeting, Nintendo released a new real-time promotional video for "Metropolitan Prime 4: Beyond (Metroroid Prime 4: Beyond)" and confirmed that it will be launched on the Switch in 2025.The new trailer shows the utilizing Samus Aran's new psychic abilities to survive on the mysterious planet Viewros.

Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4 for the first time at the 2017 E3 show.However, the game encountered major obstacles in its development process and the project was restarted in early 2019 and was taken over by Retro Studios.Now, more than six years have passed, the game is finally close to completion.

Metroid Prime 4 will be the first brand new project at Retro Studios in more than a decade.The company's previous original work, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Cold Stream, first landed on Wii U in 2018.Retro Studios has also been involved in the development of Metroid Prime Remake, which was launched on the Nintendo Switch in 2023.
