Cleanroom's installations have no change compared to Forge, so any installation method suitable for Minecraft Forge is also applicable to Cleanroom.At the same time, due to the same reason, Cleanroom's installer only supports traditional startups based on .minecraft files.

Open the project Github page from the relevant link.

View the right side of the page, there will be a section called Releases, the latest release of the name.

Click to enter, slide down to the assets section, and there will be several files.

Find a jar file at the end of Installer. The file name format is usually Cleanroom- {version number}-{possible additional bid} -Installer.jar, which is the installation required for the next step.

Example, the goal is Cleanroom-0.2.1-ALPHA-Installer.jarmmc

The CleanroomMMC project provides special support for the MMC launcher. You can download the MMC instance compression package directly on the Releases page mentioned above without downloading Installer.The name format of the compression package file is Cleanroom-MMC-Instance- {version}-{may have extra tags} .zip, such as Cleanroom-MMC-Instance-0.2.1-Alpha.zip.

Since the server that stores the related runtime library is privately built, it may not be possible to download and temporarily offline the server when multi -threaded.If the problem is still unable to solve the problem, please go to Discord to feedback.

Install

Universal

Windows users can try to double-click to run, or try Javaw.exe in the Java installation directory and run Javaw-Jar Cleanroom-version number -Installer.jar in the terminal.

Select you .minecraft folder directory to determine the installation.This installation method cannot be compatible

Enter the starter, set the right JRE, and then try to start.Cleanroom is designed for the more modern Java (such as Java21) instead of Java8. Do not start with Java8.

Mmc latter

Including MMC itself, Multimc, and derivatives, such as Prism Launcher.The file structure used by these launchers is different from the official file structure used by Mojang, so the method provided in the previous section cannot be used.

After downloading the instance compression packet, you can directly decompress it to the instance folder, or you can also install it by importing the compressed package.After installation, the Java directory may be required.If you want to upgrade the existing examples to Cleanroom, you can only install it by decompression. You need to keep the original Instance.cfg when installing.

Fast installation provided by HMCL

HMCL is rare to implement the function of fast and simple replacement module loader, and allows a startor that loads the corresponding installer JAR from the local file.Because Cleanroom's installation is consistent with the installer of FORGE, you can use the function provided by HMCL to quickly install it.

As shown in the figure below, you can directly drag the installer into a "automatic installation" window of a 1.12.2 instance, but this installation method may fail in some HMCL versions.Installation of "installation/upgrade from local files" above is also effective.

Additional steps

If you are using the HMCL promoter, please follow the following order: Game Management-> Enable a specific setting of the game-> Modify the advanced settings, you will not add the default JVM parameter, do not check the integrity of the game, do not check the JVM compatibility, try not try itAutomatically replace the basement.

If there are still errors, try to generate a startup script, and then delete several items of icu4j/old version of OSHI in the script.These are the remaining logic of Mojang launcher. There is a probability that affects the operation of the game, but no way to remove it.
