Today, November 18, Valve announced the release of the latest update to the Steam client. The suspicious private message warning and instant lock function tested not long ago have been implemented.

·The important change in this update is the chat function. In the past, many players reported that their accounts were stolen due to malicious private messages. After this update, the system will analyze the maliciousness of the messages sent to players. In Steam chat, when suspicious messages are received, a warning will be displayed at the top of the chat window. And while this warning is displayed, the link in the chat will become invalid and unclickable until the player personally unlocks it.
