According to promoter Genki, a new recruitment information released on the official website of Korean developer Shift Up confirms that "Sword Star 2" is produced using the Unreal 5 engine and will be a multi-platform game, planned to be launched on multiple host platforms and PC.This is completely different from the original game "Sword Star", because the game was first launched on the PS5 platform and later on the PC.

Shift Up confirmed earlier this year that they were exploring porting the game to other platforms, including the Switch 2.

Unfortunately, the job posting does not provide any more information about Star Blade 2.According to the job posting, the game will "inherit the stylish action and narrative-driven world of its predecessor while delivering an evolved action gaming experience," which is exactly what Shift Up said when it confirmed the game was in active development in September.

"Sword Star 2" has entered the active development stage more than a year after the first game in the series was launched on PS5, which is not surprising.Although the game is the first console and PC game developed by Korean game development studio Shift Up, it quickly attracted the attention of global players with its highly recognizable protagonist, solid action gameplay and excellent soundtrack, and became the fastest-selling Korean game on the Steam platform, contributing nearly 60% of Shift Up's revenue in the second quarter of this fiscal year.
