At yesterday's Xbox Partner Preview event, we saw new news about 16 games.Some of these are newly announced content, while others show off gameplay for the first time.The trailer we saw for "The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu" falls into the latter category. It truly shows the actual footage of this four-player online cooperative game jointly developed by ACE Team and Nacon for the first time.
The game was first announced in March 2025 and was originally planned to be released before the end of this year.Subsequently, Nacon and ACE Team announced in August that the release date would be postponed to 2026.Now, the release time of the game is more clear. The studio announced that "Mound: Omen of Cthulhu" will be released in the summer of 2026 and will be launched on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

Mound: Omen of Cthulhu puts you in the role of one of four players, all stranded on an island, trying to survive in a cursed jungle that warps their reality, making it difficult to distinguish between allies and enemies.
Not only do you have to deal with bizarre phenomena, but you also have to deal with a class of old-fashioned weapons that are inherently anxiety-provoking, because if you miss with the first shot, there may be no chance of reloading the second shot with these old-fashioned rifles.
The trailer, while short, is our first real look at gameplay, and it also highlights the dark atmosphere and tone the game is trying to create.It is really exciting to see how ACE Team and Nacon will present its 16th-century setting and Lovecraftian inspiration.
