Developer OMYOG and publisher tinyBuild announced that the dinosaur-themed first-person shooter "FEROCIOUS" will be released on December 5 and will be launched on PC Steam. The game comes with Simplified Chinese.
At the same time, the official release day trailer was released. In addition to announcing the release date, the trailer also focused on the Dinosaur Control Device (DCD) - a unique feature that allows you to command prehistoric beasts and cooperate with them to survive.
What is a dinosaur control device?
DCD is a tool that allows you to scan a specific dinosaur and give it commands.Not every creature can be controlled - but the ones you can command can be extremely useful.Whether you're riding on the back of a dinosaur to blast through an enemy horde, or sending one out as a one-dragon wrecking crew to deal with a mysterious infiltrator on the island, this device offers more flexible tactical options when firepower alone isn't enough to solve the problem.
In what ways can dinosaurs help me?
Once scanned, you can have the dinosaur follow you, move to a specific location, attack targets, destroy obstacles, and even retrieve items.Specific instructions depend on the species; some species will be more obedient (or smarter) than others.
How does the device work in terms of backstory?
The device scans the creature's brain and replicates its vocal cord signals - similar to what happened in Jurassic Park 3, but using ultrasonic calls that only lizards can hear.

The creature designs in FEROCIOUS are inspired by real prehistoric animals; however, the creatures in the game are not accurate representations of prehistoric animals.In the game's world, the creatures you'll see in the pictures below didn't become extinct millions of years ago - they survive today and continue to evolve.As a result, their posture, proportions, and other physiological characteristics differ from species known from the fossil record.Our team’s goal is to create stunning-looking, visually impactful animals in the game while drawing design inspiration from real creatures.However, their designs were not developed in conjunction with scientists and are not intended to be completely accurate.
