Johan Pilestedt, Chief Creative Officer of Arrowhead Game Studios, recently commented on the studio’s new project trends following “Dark Troopers 2”.Although players won't see this highly anticipated new game in the short term, the studio has already set its sights on the future.

Arrowhead Game Studios rose to prominence with last year's release of Submarine 2.The game's unexpected popularity has forced the studio to continue operating one of the world's most popular live-service games, which is a daunting challenge for any team.

At the 2025 Golden Joystick Awards, Arrowhead Game Studios Chief Creative Officer Johan Pilestedt told GamesRadar+ that the studio hopes that the new work will "continue the tradition we have established."Pilestedt emphasized: "The new game will not deviate from the core experience of the "Hell Diver" series. All loyal fans can seamlessly integrate into the new game and at least be able to clearly identify the series' genes." This is undoubtedly good news for "Jedi Diver 2" players.

Pilestedt revealed that the new project is still in the early stages of development."This is the stage I love the most," he explained, "when the new team is formed, breaking down the barriers between each other, really exploring the essence of the team, and jointly envisioning the game we want to create."

There is still suspense about the content of the new work.At present, the developer has made it clear that it has no development plans for "Hell Diver 3". Previous relevant remarks also hinted that the studio will continue to update "Hell Diver 2" to provide more game content.
