Global data research and consulting company Newzoo has released its latest video game industry report for October 2025, listing the top 20 games by revenue and monthly active users (MAU).As expected, "Battlefield 6" ranks high on both lists, and other popular games released in October, such as "ARC Raiders", also appear on both lists.
Overall, shooters dominated October, with 11 of the top 20 games by MAU in the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.Among the top 20 grossing games in the same region, 7 are shooters.
"Battlefield 6" and its free-to-play battle royale version "Zone Clash" are far ahead in the revenue list, beating out "EA Sports FC 26" in second place and "Fortnite" in third place."ARC Raiders" ranked seventh, even surpassing "Call of Duty" and "Counter-Strike", further proving the huge success of its launch month.
Other new non-shooting games in October, such as "Soul of Mount Yotei" and "Pokémon Legend ZA" also ranked fourth and fifth respectively, while "NBA 2K26" ranked sixth, followed by "ARC Raiders".
On the list of monthly active users (MAU), although "Battlefield 6" failed to reach the top, it ranked third, behind "Fortnite" and "Call of Duty".ARC Raiders is ranked 18th, while Pokémon Legends ZA is ranked 15th, which is arguably the most impressive ranking on the entire MAU list, as it is the only game that is not multiplayer-centric.
