The RPCS3 team announced that through the latest version of the PS3 emulator, RPCS3, PC players can finally experience this PS3 exclusive racing game - the original "MotorStorm".
Biker Storm was one of the first PS3 games to leave a lasting impression on many players. While it's nowhere near as polished as the CG trailer Sony showed off at E3 2005, it's still a racing game with great graphics. One of the game's special features is vehicle damage and terrain deformation.Interestingly, both of these features are still pretty cool even by today’s standards.
The RPCS3 team pointed out that the mud track levels are very demanding on the GPU.Therefore, it is not advisable to excessively improve the game image quality on mid-range GPUs.High-end GPU users may try to force the image quality to increase.
Additionally, a 60FPS patch is available.Initially, the game's frame rate was locked at 30FPS on PS3.But now, players can play the game on PC at 60FPS.

It is worth mentioning that "Motor Storm" can also be played on Steam Deck.Although the performance on Steam Deck is not perfect, the game can still be enjoyed.Just make sure to set the GPU clock frequency to 1600MHz to keep the game running stably.Additionally, it is recommended to disable MSAA anti-aliasing and use picture patching.
Another game that runs extremely well on RPCS3 is Killzone 2.On high-end PC configurations, it can run at 60 frames. The video below shows that the game is running at 4K resolution on a computer equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and an NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics card, and the frame rate remains above 75 frames. However, I'm not sure if the full version of the game will run smoothly.
What about God of War 3?
The first battle with Poseidon seems to run smoothly, at least on high-end PCs.The video below shows the prologue running at 60 frames on a computer equipped with a Core i9-13900K processor and an RTX 4090 graphics card.
Both computers have top-notch configurations.Still, it's good news to at least know that such a high-end computer can barely run these two games at 60 frames per second.Of course, we currently don’t know whether subsequent levels will crash even if we use the latest version of RPCS3.But for now, things are looking pretty good.
