On November 10, 2025, game developer Eagle Point Network held a media conference in Shanghai for its highly anticipated new game "Arknights: The End" (PC / PS5 / iOS / Android), focusing on the details of the second beta test that will start on November 28.The game producer "Haimao Complex" (hereinafter referred to as "Haimao") and the level designer "RUA" came to the scene in person to share the game's development concept and the huge changes in the second test.

Regarding the relationship between the game and "Arknights", Seacat revealed that as early as 2017 when "Arknights" was conceived, the idea of "Arknights: The End" already existed.In order to operate two games at the same time, the team greatly expanded the timelines of the two games.

"Arknights: The End" uses "factory construction" as one of its core gameplays. Seacat revealed that this unique design stems from personal preference.The team spent nearly a year integrating it naturally into the sci-fi worldview, and lowered the construction threshold through the "drawing system" to support production line copying and sharing with friends.The game also introduces a combat system that supports four-player real-time collaboration, emphasizing the strategic depth of abnormal status superposition and free lineup matching.

The combat system is also the highlight of this game.RUA pointed out that in long-running mobile games, it is quite rare for up to four characters to cooperate in real-time combat on the same screen.This design can enhance the sense of connection and mutual assistance in combat, allowing players to experience a sense of presence in overcoming difficulties with their companions.
At the same time, the battle pursues high strategy like a card game.The superimposed use of abnormal states is crucial. Players can freely match the lineup without being restricted by character rarity, and use their personality and imagination.


Compared with the previous test, this second test has been massively expanded and optimized in terms of content and experience.Haimao confirmed that the experience content of the second test will last 50 to 60 hours.The team completely redid the experience process and added a large number of remade plot performances and cutscenes.
The newly added oriental water city "Wuling" uses "water" as its core mechanism, taking into account both aesthetics and gameplay.Facing technical challenges, the team reconstructed the bottom layer of Unity for high-precision character performance on the same screen, and completed multi-language dubbing and localization work ahead of schedule for simultaneous global release.

During the Q&A session, officials confirmed:
Accessibility for new players: The game provides full guidance for new players, so they can enjoy the fun without previous game experience.
Focus on single-player experience: The game is centered on single-player gameplay, and social elements are lightweight and non-mandatory. There are no multiplayer online plans in the short term.
No unique solution gameplay: Industrial automation systems encourage personalized design, and there is no mandatory route of "single optimal solution".
There is currently no plan for character skins: the team is currently focusing on developing new maps and game content, and there are currently no specific arrangements for character costumes.

Finally, Haimao expressed his nervousness and expectations for the second test, while RUA believed that the polished game experience has been significantly improved, and asked players for positive feedback.This work, which carries Eagle Point Network’s ambition to move into the 3A field, is about to undergo a critical step of testing.
