Core members of the Hollow Knight: Silksong development team have confirmed that the game is committed to long-term, ongoing post-launch content support.Since the release of the game, updates to "Hollow Knight: Silk Song" have mainly focused on bug fixes and balance adjustments, but composer and sound designer Christoper Larkin's recent comments suggest that developer Team Cherry may be preparing more substantial updates.

Since its release on September 4, "Hollow Knight: Silk Song" has quickly conquered the player base who have been looking forward to the sequel since 2017.The game triggered a phenomenon-level craze, with a large number of players flocking to experience the sequel, causing the pages of "Hollow Knight: Silk Song" on Steam, Xbox Store and Nintendo eShop to be paralyzed for a time. The game currently maintains a 91% positive rating on Steam.

More than two months after the game's release, Larkin confirmed that he is still working closely with developer Team Cherry. In a recent exclusive interview with Bandcamp Daily, he was asked about his current work arrangements when talking about his contribution to "Hollow Knight: Silk Song".Although Larkin is focusing on the soundtrack creation of "The Night Walker 2", he made it clear that he is "still handling some work for Team Cherry."

Although Larkin did not elaborate on the specific development content, this may indicate that the game will usher in more changes. So far, game updates have mainly focused on BOSS battle adjustments, but a number of new features have been added since release, including enhanced controller support (new vibration function) and multi-language localization optimization launched in early November.

In the interview, Larkin admitted that although he had won multiple awards from the South Australian Screen Awards and the South Australian Sound Association, he always adhered to the concept of "non-perfectionism" when fine-tuning sound effects. He and his team carefully designed unique sound effects for each enemy, attack action and other elements of "Hollow Knight: Silk Song", which may imply that players will have the opportunity to encounter more original enemy challenges.
