In 2021, Cold Iron launched the cooperative third-person shooter game "Alien: Fireteam". In July 2024, Reddit netizens leaked the official PPT file of the sequel "Alien: Fireteam 2", confirming the existence of the sequel.

The official document at the time mentioned that the target was to be released in 2025, but a few hours ago, Enad Global 7, the publisher of "Alien: Fireteam", announced that it would invest an additional US$6.5 million in the new game developed by Cold Iron Studio, and this new game will be released in the third quarter of 2026.In addition, Cold Iron Studios also needs to spend $1.2 million of its own money to develop the game.

Enad Global 7 did not officially mention in the press release that the new game is "Alien: Fireteam 2", but it did mention that it is a cooperative action shooting game based on a well-known movie IP, and the developer is Cold Iron Studios, so this new game is actually "Alien: Fireteam 2".

According to previously leaked PPT, "Alien: Fireteam 2" will have five character archetypes (Swift, Deadly, Silent, Commander, and Ranger), each of which has its own unique main weapons and abilities.There's also said to be an Annihilation mode, which is inspired by the classic Horde mode and is more diverse in terms of encounters and objectives.
