Jesse Scott, a former core member of Insomnia, has confirmed to join CD Projekt RED and will participate in the development of the sequel to "Cyberpunk".

According to his latest updated LinkedIn profile, this senior developer who has led the core gameplay systems of "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" and "Ratchet & Clank: Time Jump" has served as CDPR Engineering Director since August 2025, responsible for establishing and leading a team of engineers focusing on open world construction, dynamic environment technology and gameplay systems - these are the most critical technical pillars of the development of "Cyberpunk 2" (codenamed "Project Orion").

This talent flow shows that CDPR is making every effort to strengthen the sequel development lineup.According to the studio's previous disclosures, "Cyberpunk 2" will be committed to creating a deeper and more dynamic immersive world than its predecessor.The project is still in the early development stages and is expected to be launched around 2030.

What is worth looking forward to is that Keanu Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand, has publicly expressed his willingness to return. Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the tabletop game worldview, has also revealed the idea of returning the rock star to the plot. The sequel may add a second major city in addition to Night City.

This is CDPR's second major personnel expansion this month - the screenwriters and designers of "Kingdom of Heaven: Deliverance 2" have also switched to the "Witcher 4" development team.
