Rockstar announced today on social media that it will launch "Red Dead Redemption" on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and iOS and Android platforms via Netflix on December 2.Users who own the PlayStation 4, Switch version or Xbox One backward-compatible digital version can upgrade to the new version for free.

"Red Dead Redemption" was originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms on May 18, 2010, and then launched on the PlayStation 4 and Switch platforms on August 17, 2023, and on the PC platform on October 29, 2024 through Steam, Epic Games Store and Rockstar Store.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players will enjoy a smooth 60-frame gaming experience with support for improved picture quality, HDR enhancement and up to 4K resolution.The Switch 2 version will give full play to the performance of the new hardware, support DLSS technology, HDR, mouse control, and can also achieve smooth operation of 60 frames at high resolution.

Existing PlayStation 4, Switch or Xbox One backward-compatible digital version users can upgrade for free.PS4 version players can inherit the original save to continue the game, and Switch 2 players can also continue the progress from the old Switch save.
