The official Pokémon YouTube channel has just released an in-depth demonstration video of "Pokémon: Pokopia".This ten-minute trailer shows many new ways to play. For example, the player character Dior can transform into Lapras and wade through the water, or transform into a dragon and soar through the sky.At the end of the film, three new Pokémon forms were revealed: the first is the colorful, splash-style "Tutu" Tutu dog; the second is the "lop-eared skin" Pikachu with drooping ears and a pale body; and the third is the "moss rock Kirby" Kirby, which is covered in moss and has flowers on its head.
As the signature mascot of the Pokémon series, Pikachu has undergone numerous image reshapings over the years, including changes in different colors and various costume iterations.But apart from the Gigantamax form introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pikachu has never had a completely redesigned form before, and the same is true for Kirby.It is worth noting that although Pikachu and Kirby have at least Gigantamax forms, "Tutu Tutor" is the first derivative form that Tutu has ever obtained.
Although the developer Koei Tecmo has not yet clarified the specific functions of "Lolopskin", "Moss Rock Kirby" and "Tu Mentor" in "Pokémon: Pokopia", it is speculated that the new forms will give the player character Dichotomy new abilities - similar to Bulbasaur's setting that allows players to cultivate grass and Squirtle's assistance in irrigating crops.Another possibility is that these special forms will serve as newly confirmed task issuers in the game, entrusting players to complete specific tasks to promote island construction progress and obtain rewards.
This game is scheduled to be released exclusively on the Switch2 platform on March 5, 2026, but first-generation Switch players can participate in the online experience of friends through the game sharing function.
