According to Capcom’s latest financial report data, the market performance of “Monster Hunter: Wilderness” after its official release failed to meet the company’s best expectations.However, the sales data disclosed during the same period also contains positive news: "Devil May Cry 5" has sold nearly 11 million copies globally, of which more than 2.13 million copies were sold in the first half of this fiscal year, making it Capcom's best-selling game this year.

What deserves more attention is the continued best-selling performance of the four major works in the "Resident Evil" series:

·"Resident Evil: Village" ranks at the forefront with cumulative sales of 12.872 million copies, with a total of 1.566 million copies sold in the past two quarters;

·In comparison, the later-released "Resident Evil 4: Remake" sold 1.266 million copies during the same period, with total sales reaching 11.2 million copies;

· "Resident Evil 2: Remake", launched in 2019, currently leads the series with cumulative sales of 16.342 million copies;

·"Resident Evil 7" is steadily moving towards 16 million copies, with nearly 1.2 million copies sold during this fiscal year.

It is worth noting that "Resident Evil 7" will be launched on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform in February next year and will be released simultaneously with "Resident Evil: Village". This move may help its sales surpass "Resident Evil 2: Remake".

According to official confirmation, the ninth orthodox sequel in the series, "Resident Evil: Requiem", is scheduled to be launched on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms on February 27, 2026. The standard version is 348 yuan, and pre-sales are now open.
