"UnderRail 2: Infusion" is an immersive isometric turn-based RPG. Today, official Stygian Software released a 10-minute Alpha real-player demonstration of the game.At present, the Steam store page of "Metro Life 2" is online. It only supports English. The release date has not been announced yet.
"Metro Life 2" is set in the distant future - the surface of the earth is no longer suitable for human survival, and the remaining humans now live in a huge confederation system of subway stations called "Underrail", which seems to be the last bastion of mankind.
About this game
You are a scavenger.
Under the ruins of this civilization, scavengers make a living by searching for technology and resources, struggling to survive in the wasteland of Underrail. This is an extremely dangerous profession that often requires traveling to unknown and dangerous areas, such as Solidon, the hidden city you are in at the beginning of the game.
Combat system
Combat is turn-based, but uses an atomic mechanism - players and NPCs take turns performing very short actions, just like traditional meat pigeon games, making combat more reactive.
Most NPC actions take place simultaneously, so the flow of combat remains smooth even in large battles.
Players can use a variety of weapons and combat tools, currently implemented include:
Firearms: Pistols, bolt-action rifles, assault rifles
Energy Weapon: Plasma Rifle
Melee weapons: daggers, one- and two-handed swords, war hammers
Each weapon has its own special attack method (for example, a dagger can "cut" or "stab") and a posture system (such as how to hold the sword, how to aim, etc.).
The development team plans to add more content in subsequent versions, including:
A wider variety of firearms and melee weapons
Various types of grenades (impact, timed, burning)
Chemical weapons (acid, burning, freezing)
More energy weapons (lasers, electric shocks), etc.
In addition, the Psionics system in the previous game will be re-implemented in the future, adding a new dimension to the battle.
dynamic world
NPCs in the game do not exist statically. They have their own daily routines, goals and tasks, and will actively move between different areas. Even if the player is not present, they will continue to act as usual.
NPCs can also use global systems in the game, such as computer networks.
At the same time, biological communities also have dynamic behavior - they may migrate and invade new areas due to certain stimuli.
Production system
The game includes an in-depth item crafting and modification system:
Create melee weapons using different materials, hilts, and power modules
Assemble the basic components of the firearm and add accessories such as sights, flashlights, silencers, and foregrips
Make an armor frame, adjust the weight and ballistic resistance according to the material, and match it with different types of pockets
Skin off monsters to make armor and extract fluids from their organs for biochemical experiments
computer system
The game contains a fully functional computer system that supports files, programs, networking and other functions. You can:
Understand the world context through logs and system status
Get useful files like crafting blueprints
Remote control of access control, security systems, lighting and mechanical equipment
Use hacking programs and tools to invade restricted files and systems
Mechanical operations (Tinkering)
Players can interact with various machines, computers, and mechanical devices, including mechanical locks, crafting tables, and more.
Each mechanism has an independent interactive interface and requires a combination of character skills and acquired knowledge to operate successfully.
The development team emphasizes immersion - they want every skill in the game to be a real participant in the game, not just a numerical check or dice roll.
Overall, "Metro Life 2" aims to create a highly interactive, complex and highly immersive post-apocalyptic underground world, allowing players to write their own survival stories in the ruins.
