We’ve just released the fall update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows! Here’s a roundup of what’s coming to the game in the coming months.
First of all, we would like to sincerely thank you for your positive feedback on the recent updates! We are glad that you like the new "New Game+" mode, acceleration time and other convenient features, as well as the launch of the DLC "Awaji Claws".
This fall, from parkour upgrades to surprise linkages, every "Assassin's Creed: Shadows" player...even Switch 2 players can find fun.

Version update 10 (October 28)
Parkour Upgrade 2nd Edition
With the release of the first update of the parkour system, we have collected feedback from players and will launch the second parkour update on October 28.The update will focus on a toggle option called "Advanced Parkour."This feature will remove all obstacle restrictions and support high-altitude cartwheels/backflips. We have also made adjustments to the downward parkour cartwheel to give players greater freedom.
Vertical ledge grabs in regular parkour now work in more situations, including non-upright objects, regardless of whether the Advanced Parkour option is turned on or off.We've also introduced a new manual jumping option for these non-standing objects.
Finally, we've reintroduced the much-anticipated "directional edge grabbing" mechanism.

Players can also look forward to a new Animus themed event called "City of Chaos" on October 28th.Any city that has been explored before may be eroded by the Animus anomaly, including the samurai generals and corresponding reward chests. Up to 5 "chaotic cities" will appear on the map in each season. Players can re-challenge these more challenging cities and obtain more generous rewards.
Version update 11 (November 25)
Free story content
The third free story update will be available on November 25th, titled "Unsolved Mysteries."This time the story is more witty and humorous, and the overall tone is similar to "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey". In the story, players will explore the stories of Nao's past enemies, and they are looking for a glimmer of redemption.Our two protagonists will also acquire new skills:
· Nao will learn how to perform Yasuke's "Battle Kick" skill in his own way.
· Yasuke will learn how to stealth and eliminate enemies in non-lethal ways.
Just like the title "Unsolvable Mystery", this story will also introduce a new and complex environmental puzzle, which may answer a series of questions that players and the community have been raising.It’s not over yet! We’re doubling down on the free story content, because our next special collaboration will also be launched on the same day.
In addition, players can also look forward to receiving a series of free gifts during the Christmas holidays.
Officially launched on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2
"Assassin's Creed: Shadows" will officially launch on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 platform on December 2! In addition to the DLC "Claws of Awaji" which will be released later in the new year, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Assassin's Creed: Shadows" will include all recent updates and free content.It also supports the Ubisoft Connect cross-platform progression feature so players can pick up where they left off at any time.The Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Assassin's Creed: Shadows" will also provide a new way to play, and all menus (including world maps, shops and hideouts) support touch screen operations.
