As "Persona 3: Reloaded" is about to be officially launched on the Nintendo Switch2 platform, the core members of the game development team P-Studio - chief producer Kazuhisa Wada, porting director Yoshihiro Kobori and character designer Azusa Shimada recently accepted an exclusive interview and revealed the technical details and development concepts of this porting.

In view of the characteristics of the Switch2 platform, Kobori Yoshihiro said that the transplantation work mainly focuses on engine adaptation and game component adjustment. Thanks to the good compatibility of Unreal Engine, the team successfully built a version that can run on Switch2 in the early stages of development, allowing them to focus on image optimization.
"Since Switch2 has different performance in TV mode and handheld mode, we need to make detailed picture adjustments for each mode," Kobori explained, "Especially for specific scenes such as the various floors and event scenes in Tartarus, we have carefully optimized them."

Regarding the frame rate fluctuation issue that occurred in the recent trial version, Kobori confirmed that the team is actively improving it, but due to the need for detailed quality inspection, the fix will be rolled out through subsequent patches.Regarding the frame rate selection function that players are looking forward to, he admitted that the priority for this release is to launch the game as soon as possible, and there are no plans to add performance and image quality switching options.
Chief producer Kazuhisa Wada explained the reason for choosing "Persona 3: Reloaded Edition" as the first series of games to be launched on Switch 2: "We hope to bring this game to Nintendo players as soon as possible, and the development and release time of Switch 2 is the most suitable."
He particularly emphasized his expectations for Nintendo's broad user base: "Given the broad user base of Nintendo platforms, we hope that many players who have not yet been exposed to the "Persona" series, especially young players, can take this opportunity to experience this series for the first time."

"Persona 3: Reloaded Edition" will be officially launched on the Switch2 platform on October 23. The trial version is now available on the eShop, and players' progress can be carried over to the official version.
