Recently, Frogwares Studio announced that the new survival horror game "The Sinking City 2" (The Sinking City 2) has been postponed to the first half of 2026. The delay is due to a major change in the game type compared with the previous game. The official also released new screenshots of the game, let’s take a look!

Alexander Gresko, the game's lead designer, said: "Switching to the survival horror genre for the first time was a new challenge for us. We have been making detective adventure games for more than two decades, but survival horror requires a completely different design thinking - tension, pacing, combat mechanics, etc. As fans, we have always loved this genre, but when we started developing it we realized that there was too much work to do. Although it was exciting, it also slowed down the development progress."
Sergiy Oganesyan, publishing director at Frogwares, said: "There is currently no specific release date for 2026, but we would prefer to make a firm commitment rather than announce it now and then change the date again. Rest assured, we are targeting the first half of 2026, so we only have to wait months, not years."
