At the recent SimRacing Expo 2025 exhibition, Italian developer KUNOS Simulazioni announced that the global cumulative sales of its racing simulation game series "Asset Corsa" have exceeded 20 million copies. This statistic covers all sales data since the first game was released in early access in 2013.

Marco Massarutto, CEO of the studio, said in his keynote speech: "With the release of Assetto Corsa EVO in January this year, the series has reached more than 20 million unique users. This achievement is extraordinary for a hard-core simulation game that was originally positioned as a 'niche', proving that it has successfully broken through the circle." He emphasized that the success is not only due to the excellent physics engine, audio-visual performance and module ecology, but also to the deep trust relationship established between the development team and the simulation racing community.“We are sim racing enthusiasts first and developers second. This dual identity allows us to always have a clear understanding of user expectations.”
Officials simultaneously announced a new series of games specializing in rally events, Assetto Corsa Rally, which is scheduled to be launched on the PC platform in early access mode on November 13.The first content includes 10 licensed racing cars (including classic Lancia Stratos and contemporary Peugeot 208 Rally4, etc.), a dynamic day and night weather system, and a 33-kilometer track based on on-site laser scanning in Alsace and Wales. The development team confirmed that this game will continue the iconic physics engine of the series. Weather changes will affect visibility and grip in real time, greatly increasing the challenge of the event.

For long-term content planning, the team promises to gradually expand to 30 vehicles through updates, launch a complete career mode, and build a refined track network of more than 120 kilometers. At the same time, Assetto Corsa EVO, which launched early access at the beginning of the year, is still being optimized.Massarutto revealed that the team is actively adopting community feedback to iterate, saying, ""EVO" and "Rally" are our direct response to players' expectations, and the series is growing at an unprecedented speed."
